Safety measures
Observe the following points to prevent injury to persons and/or damage to the injection and ignition system:
t  Do not disconnect or connect ignition cables when the engine is running or operating at starting speed.
t  Ignition must be switched off before disconnecting and re-connecting the cables of the fuel injection and the ignition system as well as of the test equipment.
t  If the engine must be operated at start speed without the engine starting:
   
–  Unplug the 4-pin connector -1- from the ignition transformer -2-.

–  Remove fuse No. 28 for the fuel delivery unit.
If test and measuring devices are required during test drives observe the following:
t  Attach test and measuring equipment always on the rear seat and have them operated from there by a second person.
t  If the test and measuring devices are operated from the passenger seat, the passenger could be injured by the release of the passenger airbag in the event of an accident.
