Testing auxiliary signals > < Adjusting the kick-down function

Procedure
Procedure
–  Connect vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552-. Switch ignition on and select address word 01 “Engine electronics” → Chapter.
–  Select function 04 “Initiate basic setting” and display group 063.
   
Press down the accelerator pedal to the stop and hold it there.
–  Read off the indicated value in display block 4.
Specified value: “ADP O.K.”
  Note
The message “Kickdown ADP running” will be displayed during the adjustment work. Once the adjustment has been completed successfully “ADP OK” will be displayed.
–  Select function 06 “End output” and switch ignition off.
If the specified value is not reached:
–  Check the throttle cable setting → 2.0 ltr./85 kW Engine, Mechanics → Rep. Gr.20.

14 %      85 %    kick-down       ADP OK
