Safety measures
  WARNING
The fuel system is under pressure! Place a cloth around the connecting point before releasing hose connections or when opening the system. Then release pressure by carefully detaching.
Observe the following points to prevent injury to persons and/or damage to the injection and ignition system:
t  Do not touch or remove ignition leads with the engine running or at start speed.
t  Do not disconnect or connect cables of the fuel injection and ignition system, also not cables of test equipment, unless the ignition is switched off.
If test and measuring devices are required during test drives observe the following:
t  Always secure the test and measuring devices on the rear seat and have a second person operate them there.
t  If the test and measuring devices are operated from the passenger seat, the passenger could be injured by the release of the passenger airbag in the event of an accident.
If the engine must be operated at start speed without the engine starting:
   
–  Unplug 4-pin connector -1- from ignition transformer -2-.

–  Remove fuse 28 for the fuel delivery unit.
