Rectifying fault

t	Smaller value can only occur in overrun

greater than 35%
greater than 25% ¹⁾

–	Testing injection valves → Chapter.

–	If necessary, replace spark plugs.

–	Switch off electrical consumers.

–	Turn the steering wheel into its middle position

–	Move selector lever into position “P” or “N” (automatic gearbox).

–	Test air mass meter.

–	Inspecting throttle valve control unit → Chapter.

t	The maximum engine load decreases approximately 10 % for each 1000 m above mean sea level.

t	The maximum engine load decreases by up to 10 % at high temperatures.

t	The following readouts must be reached when driving at full throttle: at 4000 rpm approx. 78 %, at 6000 rpm approx. 75 %.
