Fault table
Fault table
  Note
t  The fault table is ordered according to the 5-digit fault code on the left.
t  Explanations on fault types (e.g. “open circuit/short-circuit to earth”): → Operating instructions of vehicle system tester.
t  If parts are output as faulty: First test all of the cables and plug connections to these components as well as the earth cables of the system according to the current flow diagram. Replace component only if these tests do not reveal any fault. This applies in particular if the fault is shown as sporadic (SP).

Onboard voltage tml. 30
signal too low*
t  Battery voltage below 9.5 V, battery insufficiently charged
poor or no function of radio set
–  Reading measured value block → Chapter
* This fault may also be stored if the starter has been operated for more than 10 sec.!
t  Battery defective

S contact on ignition starter switch D

open circuit
t  Ignition starter switch N.O.K
t  Wiring N.O.K
t  Radio N.O.K
It is not possible for the radio to switch itself on again automatically when switching on the ignition, if the ignition was previously switched off while the radio was switched on. When switching on the ignition the radio, which is switched on, switches itself off automatically after 1 hour.
–  Reading measured value block → Chapter
–  Test wiring according to current flow diagram
–  Test ignition starter switch, replace if necessary → Chapter
