Adapt service interval display - SID
Adapt service interval display - SID
The service interval display must be adapted after replacing the dash panel insert.
Adjustment table:

  Note
t  The entry of the relevant adaptation value for the distance counters can only be made in steps of 1000 km; consequently the read-out in the display is also in 1000 km.
t  The adaptation value must be entered as a 5-digit number (e.g. 00015 for adaptation value 15, equals a distance of 15000 km to the next service event).
t  The value entered is counted back to 0 km.
t  The time counter for the "SERVICE INSP" can be adapted with a maximum of 365 days.
t  Only a direct entry is possible using the keypad of the vehicle system tester!
t  If an incorrect value is entered the “Adaptation” function is terminated and it is then necessary to recommence!
SIA residual value for oil service
The number of km which are left to drive before the next oil change is required, can be entered with this channel if the dash panel insert is replaced.
–  Enter 10 (channel number).
–  Confirm the entry with key Q.
   
Readout on display:
The remaining kilometres until the next OIL service are displayed (1 is still 1000 km in our example).
–  Press → key.

–  Enter the residual value using the keypad, to do so fill in "0" as the first digits.

–  Enter 11.

Adjustment of the fuel tank sender characteristic curve
The resistance characteristic curve of the fuel tank sender can be moved with this function in order to correct, if necessary, an inclined fuel tank sender.
–  Enter 30.
–  Confirm the entry with key Q.

Readout on display: the adaptation value is displayed, 128 in our example.
  Note
t  The adjustment value 128 is the average fuel tank sender characteristic curve set at the factory.
t  The resistance value of the fuel tank sender characteristic curve can be changed by ± 8 W to the adaptation value of 120 ... 136.
–  Press → key.
