Test signal from fuel gauge sender -G-

Test the signal on the multi-pin connector to the dash panel insert.

–	Remove dash panel insert → Chapter.

–	Connect the test box -V.A.G 1598 - with the adapter -V.A.G 1598/25- to the blue 32 pin connector.

–	Use the multimeter (e.g. -V.A.G 1526 A-) to measure the resistance between the contacts 5 and 7 (signal ground).

Nominal values:

Tank full: approx. 270 Ω

Tank half full: approx. 170 Ω

Tank on reserve: approx. 96 Ω
