Removing and installing parking aid senders
Removing and installing parking aid senders
  Note
t  When replacing the bumper, in the new bumper new sender holders must be stuck on, whose visible part is painted in the colour of the bumper.
t  The inner and outer sender holders are not identical, part no. → Electronic Catalogue of Original parts.
t  Before the sender holders are stuck on, the contact surfaces on the bumper must be cleaned, de-greased and activator “3M plastprimer 4298UV” (www.3m.com - Order No. 70-0706-9724-1) must be applied.
t  When changing the sender, paint in the colour of the bumper.
t  Removing and installing the inner senders is only possible after removing the bumper → Body Work → Rep. Gr.63
t  Removing and installing the outer senders is possible without removing the bumper.
Removing:
   
–  Disconnect plug -1- at sender.
–  Press off both locking tabs -arrows- and remove ultrasonic sender.
Installing:
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
