t  Polycarbamide grease -G 052 142 A2-
  Note
t  Summary of components - Hydraulics → Chapter.
t  Disconnect earth strap of the battery.
t  Before disconnecting the battery determine the code of radio sets fitted with anti-theft coding.
t  Grease all bearing and contact surfaces with Polycarbamide Grease -G 052 142 A2-.
t  Prior to working on the foot controls remove the storage area on the driver's side → Body Work → Rep. Gr.70.

q   for master cylinder and bracket
2 - Gasket
q   always replace
3 - Bracket
q   for support of clutch pedal
4 - Screw
5 - Gas/brake foot controls
6 - Self-locking nut, 25 Nm
q   always replace
7 - Connecting plate
8 - Self-locking nut, 20 Nm
q   always replace
9 - Spacer bushes
10 - Bushing
11 - Clutch pedal
q   removing and installing → Chapter
12 - Support
q   removing and installing → Anchor
13 - 25 Nm
q   always replace
14 - Master cylinder
q   removing and installing → Anchor
15 - Tubing
16 - Over-centre helper spring
q   removing and installing → Chapter
17 - Bearing/over-helper centre spring
q   insert in bracket
q   always replace
18 - Clutch pedal switch
q   removing and installing → Chapter
19 - Pedal stop
q   for the clutch pedal
q   Fitting position → Chapter
20 - 25 Nm
q   always replace
