When replacing the output flange, determine again the adjusting washer S4
When replacing the output flange, determine again the adjusting washer S4
Determining the adjustment is only necessary if the output flange is replaced. It serves to create again the preload of the tapered-roller bearing for the shank bevel gear.
   
–  Measure length of the shank on old and new output flange and determine the difference.

Example:  
Old output flange25.80 mm
New output flange25.60 mm
Difference0.20 mm

If the new output flange is longer - fit a respective thinner adjusting washer S4.
If the old output flange is longer - fit a respective thicker adjusting washer S4.
