STEP 6)

Install the female electrical harness connector to the male solenoid connector and route the wires through the air cleaner bracket clamp. See
Figure 5.

STEP 7)

Remove the bolt from the air cleaner bracket, secure the yellow wire from the connector to the bolt and reinstall.

STEP 8)

Route the black wire with the white tracer along the wiring harness behind the intake manifold using the existing wire ties.

STEP 9)

Locate the air control valve solenoid wiring connector. The male connector coming from the wiring harness to the (ACV) solenoid has two
wires, yellow (Y) and black with a white tracer (BW).

STEP 10)

Using the wire tap connector, splice the black wire with the white tracer from the new solenoid to the black wire with the white tracer from
the (ACV) solenoid together. See Figure 6.

NOTE:
AFTER SECURING THE WIRE TAP CONNECTOR, TWIST IT BACK AND FORTH TO MAKE SURE THE INSULATION IS CUT AND A
GOOD CONNECTION IS MADE BETWEEN THE WIRES.

To test the operation of the new solenoid:

Make sure the ignition switch is off.

Remove the 5-15/16" hose from the connection at the top of the vacuum stay and blow air into it. No restriction should exist.

Turn the igntion on

Blow air through the same hose and it should be restricted. If it is not recheck hose routing and electrical connections.
