Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

    Refer to Fig. 4 when performing the following procedure.

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Remove left and right stabilizer to transverse link retaining bolts. Separate plates from transverse link.

3.

Remove left and right stabilizer clamp to crossmember retaining bolts. Separate clamps from stabilizer.

4.

Remove jack-up plate and stabilizer.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Transfer end brackets to replacement shaft.
b. Ensure crossmember bushing is positioned in bent portion of shaft.
c. Torque retaining bolts with wheels on the ground and vehicle unloaded.
d. Refer to Fig. 4 for tightening specifications.
