NOTE: Refer to Repair and Inspection Required after Accident before replacing a deployed air bag.
Removal
1. Disable air bag system.
2. Remove instrument panel.
3. Disconnect passenger air bag (inflator) module connector (2) as show in figure.
a. Release lock (1).
b. Disconnect connector with lock released.
4. Remove passenger air bag (inflator) module screws (3) and passenger air bag (inflator) module bolts (4), and remove passenger air bag (inflator)
module (5).
Installation
Reverse removal procedure, noting the following points.

Lock connector for air bag (inflator) module securely.

Fit claw (2) of passenger air bag (inflator) module (1) to instrument panel securely.

Tighten passenger air bag (inflator) module bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Passenger air bag (inflator) module bolt (a): 23 N.m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 lbf-ft)
