Drive Intermediate Shaft Assembly Removal and Installation
Removal
1) Drain transaxle oil.

6M/T model:

CVT model:
2) Remove right side front drive shaft assembly.
3) Remove intermediate support bolts (1) and drive intermediate shaft assembly (2) from transaxle.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage differential side oil seal while removing the drive intermediate shaft.
Installation
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage differential side oil seal while installing the drive intermediate shaft.
Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following points:

Use new circlip.

Tighten intermediate support bolts (1) in numerical order as shown in figure.
1) Temporarily tighten intermediate support bolts in numerical order ("1" - "3").
2) Tighten intermediate support bolts to specified torque in numerical order ("4" - "6").
Tightening torque
Intermediate support bolt* (a): 55 Nm (5.6 kg-m, 40.5 lbf-ft)
