Swift L4-1298cc 1.3L SOHC MFI (1997)
Adjust parking brake cable. Refer to Brakes and Traction Control.
17. Tighten parking brake lever cover screws.
18. Install wheel and tighten wheel nuts to specified torque.
Tightening Torque wheel nut: 50 - 80 Nm (36.5 - 57.5 ft. lbs.)
19. Check to ensure that brake drum is free from dragging and proper braking is obtained.
20. Lower hoist.
21. Tighten control rod outside nut and inside nut to specified torque.
It is the most desirable to have vehicle off hoist and in nonloaded condition when tightening them.
NOTE: Tighten inside nut with line (A) stamped on body aligned with such line as confirmed before removal or match marks aligned.
Tightening Torque (a): 70 - 90 Nm (51.0 - 65.0 ft. lbs.)
Then check toe.
22. Perform brake test (foot brake and parking brake).
23. Check each installed part for fluid leakage.
