this takes 5-10 minutes from cold start. When the IC cools, radio function is restored but for a decreasing period of time. This failure mode causes
unnecessary radio replacement and repeat visits since the new radio appears to operate normally for up to 10 minutes with the fault condition
present. It is important to verify the repair by either reading the voltage at the amp enable pin with the radio operating (voltage should be equal to
battery voltage), or by allowing the radio to operate for at least 15 minutes.

For DVD vehicles, check that the harness is not pinched under any attachment screws of the video display module (you need to check the wiring
very closely, if it is not routed as seen above, the damage is sometimes difficult to see).

For DVD vehicles, the video module is supplied directly from the IP harness. This very long harness is manually clipped into the gutter on the left
sill. It has a tendency to loop away from the "B" pillar and become trapped under the driver seat rear outboard attachment point. The codes B1288
(Video display) and B1289 (Video bright) are commonly found in these cases because the seat attachment tends to take out more than one circuit
(esp. shielded circuits). When the pinch involves the RMT_ENABLE circuit, the conditions described in 1 above occur.

For all radio types. The white "enable wire" for the antenna may be pinched at the passenger side "D" Pillar or roof liner near the antenna.
