Testing Cold Start Injector - Current Applied

7. If injector does not spray, replace the Cold Start Injector.
8. If injector does spray normally, remove probes from battery and check injector for leakage.

Checking Cold Start Injector For Leakage

9. The Cold Start Injector should not leak more than one (1) drop of fuel per minute.  If excessive leakage is noted, replace the Cold Start Injector.

10. If no problems are found with the Cold Start Injector, test the Cold Start Injector Time Switch.
11. Remove service wire from engine check connector and carefully remove SST from Cold Start Injector.  Clean-up any fuel that escapes when the

SST is removed.

12. Reinstall the Cold Start Injector in the intake plenum.  Refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES for proper

procedure.

13. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
