4 Runner 2WD L4-2693cc 2.7L DOHC MFI (1997)
a. Using a screw extractor, remove the two seats from the control valve housing.
b. Using a plastic hammer and sliding handle, lightly tap in two new seats.
NOTE: Before installing the union seat, remove dust sticking to the control valve housing.
4. If necessary, replace the oil seal, doing these procedures.
a. Using the 09950-60010 (09951-00320), 09950-70010 (09951-07100) SST and a press. remove the oil seal from the bearing guide nut.
b. Coat a new oil seal lip with power steering fluid.
c. Using the 09950-60010 (09951 - 00280, 09951 - 00360, 09952 - 06010), 09950-70010 (09951 -7100) SST and a press, install the oil seal.
NOTE: Make sure you install the oil seal facing the correct direction.
5. Inspect the bearing by doing the following.
