d. Install the four pinion gears and pinion gear thrust washers to the spider.
e. Install the four pinion gears with spider to the right hand case.

f.

Using a dial indicator, measure the side gear backlash with holding the side gear and spider. The standard backlash is 0.05 - 0.20 mm (0.0020
- 0.0079 inch).

NOTE:

Measure at all four locations.

Measure the backlash at the right case at the left hand case. If the backlash is not within the specification, install a thrust washer of a
different thickness. The thrust washer thickness are as follows.
(1): 0.9 mm (0.035 inch).    
(2): 1.0 mm (0.039 inch).
(3): 1.1 mm (0.043 inch).     
(4): 1.2 mm (0.047 inch).    
(5): 1.3 mm (0.051 inch).

g. Install the side gear and side gear thrust washer to the right hand case.
h. Install the pinion gears and spider to the right hand case. 
i.

Install the side gear and side gear thrust washer to the right hand case.

j.

Align the matchmarks on the left and right hand cases.

k. Tighten the eight bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) uniformly, a little at a time. 

2. Using the 09223-15020 09950-0010 (09951-00480, 09951-00550), 09950-0020 (09951-00730) SST and a press, install the side bearing(s) on the

differential case.
