Air Bag System

REPAIRS AND INSPECTIONS REQUIRED AFTER A COLLISION

CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

a. Do a diagnostic system check.
b. Do a visual check which includes the following item with the curtain shield airbag assy installed in the vehicle. Check cuts, minute cracks or

marked discoloration around the curtain shield airbag assy on the front pillar garnish and roof headlining assy

CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS NOT DEPLOYED)

a. Do a diagnostic system check.
b. Do a visual check which includes the following items with the curtain shield airbag assy removed from the vehicle.

Check cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the curtain shield airbag assy.

-

Check cuts and cracks in wire harness, and for chipping in connectors.

FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

INSTR PNL PASS L/DOOR AIRBAG ASSY(VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

a. Do a diagnostic system check.
b. Do a visual check which includes the following item with the instr pnl pass l/door airbag assy installed in the vehicle.

Check cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration around the instr pnl pass l/door airbag assy on the instrument panel.

INSTR PNL PASS L/DOOR AIRBAG ASSY(VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS NOT DEPLOYED)
