a. Using the 09950-70010 (09951 - 07360) SST and a press, remove the rack and oil seal.

NOTE: Take care not to drop the rack.

b. Remove the oil seal from the rack.

14. Using the 09950-60010 (09951-00360), 09950-70010 (09951-07360) SST and a press, remove the oil seal and spacer. 

ASSEMBLY

NOTE: When using a vise, do not overtighten it.

1. Coat the assembly with power steering fluid or molybdenum disulfide lithium base grease.
2. Install the spacer and the oil seal , performing the following procedures.

a. Coat a new oil seal lip with power steering fluid.

b. Using the  09951 - 60010 (09951-00330, 09951 - 00490, 09952 - 06010), 09950 - 70010 (09951-07360) Special Service Tool (SST) and a

press, install the oil seal and spacer.

NOTE:

Make sure you install the oil seal facing the correct direction.

Take care that the oil seal does not get reversed as you install it.

3. Install the steering rack by performing these steps.

a. Install the 09631-00350 SST to the rack.
