Lateral Stabilizer Rod: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT
1. Jack up the rear axle housing and support the frame with stands. Hold the rear axle housing with a jack.
2. Remove the bolt, washers and bushings, holding the right hand shock absorber to the rear axle housing and disconnect the shock absorber.
NOTE: When installing the rear shock, tighten the bolt to 64 Nm (47 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the lateral control rod by doing the following.
a. If the vehicle has LSP & BV, remove the bolt and disconnect the LSP & BV.
NOTE: When installing the LSP & BV, tighten the bolt to 13 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
