Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Testing and Inspection

No. 1 Fan Motor Inspection

1. Disconnect cooling fan connector.
2. Connect battery and ammeter to connector, Fig. 1.

3. Ensure cooling fan rotates smoothly and reading on ammeter is 6.1-7.3 amps.

No. 2 Fan Motor Inspection

1. Disconnect cooling fan connector.
2. Connect battery and ammeter to connector, Fig. 2.

3. Ensure cooling fan rotates smoothly and reading on ammeter is 9.2-11.0 amps.
