Removal

From 03-2006 to 10-2006

P311 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: TRANSAXLE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

HINT: See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Air Conditioning
Unit/Removal.

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

7. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
(b) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.
(c) Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 1 control cable bracket.
(d) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 2 transmission control cable bracket and No. 3 transmission control cable

bracket.

(e) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly while pushing the 2 claws of the floor shift

cable.

8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
