Camry CE Sedan 4-Door L4-2164cc 2.2L DOHC MFI (1997)
REMOVAL HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
3. DISCONNECT WATER HOSE FROM HEATER RADIATOR PIPES
INSTALLATION HINT:

Push the water hose on to the heater radiator pipe as far as ridge on the pipe and install the hose clip

Install the hose clip in a position, as shown in the illustration.
4. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. Blower unit
See: Blower Motor/Service and Repair/Blower Motor Case
b. Instrument panel and reinforcement
5. DISCONNECT LIQUID AND SUCTION TUBES
Loosen the 2 nuts and disconnect the both tubes.
Torque:
Liquid tube: 14 N.m (140 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
Suction tube: 32 N.m (330 kgf.cm, 24 ft.lbf)
REMOVAL NOTICE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
INSTALLATION HINT: Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.
6. REMOVE A/C UNIT
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Slide the floor carpet backward.
c. Remove the rear heater duct.
