Oil Pump: Service and Repair
Oil Pump Replace
OIL PUMP REMOVAL
NOTE: When repairing the oil pump, the oil pan and strainer should be removed and cleaned.
1. Disconnect cable from negative terminal of battery.
CAUTION (With Airbag): To avoid accidental air bag deployment work must be started after approx. 30 seconds or longer from the time the ignition
switch is turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
2. Remove hood.
3. Drain engine oil.
