Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Installation

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE TO THROTTLE BODY.

Place a new gasket on the throttle body.

Install the idle air control valve with the 4 screws.

2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY.

-

Connect the following hoses to the Throttle Body:

1. Water bypass hose from water outlet.
2. Water bypass hose from water bypass pipe.
3. California spec vehicles only: 

- Air hose from cylinder head
Federal spec. vehicles: 
- Air hose from air tube

Place a new gasket on the intake chamber with the protrusion facing downward,
