If in an emergency situation towing with the front wheels on the ground is required, the key should be in the "ACC" position.

Vehicle should have the park brake released and the transmission placed in the Neutral position.

On 4WD models, the transfer case shifter should be set in the "H2" position. If equipped with manual locking hubs, they should be set in the
"FREE WHEEL mode."

It is recommended that the vehicle be towed by a flatbed towing vehicle or a tow dolly whenever possible.

Vehicle should have the Drive shaft disconnected and securely attached to the chassis if it is towed more than 50 miles or over 30 mph.

Automatic transmission fluid level should be in the hot temperature range on the dip stick.
