2.

Remove union bolt and disconnect brake hose. Use suitable container to catch brake fluid.

3.

Remove bolts and remove caliper, Fig. 11.

4.

Remove anti-squeal shims and brake pad wear indicator plates.

5.

Remove support plates.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.

Disc, Replace

1.

Remove caliper as described under "Caliper, Replace".

2.

Scribe alignment marks between brake disc and hub, then remove disc.

3.

Reverse procedure to install.

Caliper Overhaul

1.

Remove caliper as described under "Caliper, Replace".

2.

Remove the following parts: 

a. Caliper slide bushings.
b. Dust boots.
c. Collars.

3.

Using screwdriver, remove caliper boot set ring and boot.

4.

Place suitable rag between caliper and piston and using compressed air, remove pistons.

5.

Using screwdriver, remove piston seal.

6.

Apply suitable lubricant to following parts: boot, piston seal, piston, slide bushing, collar, and dust boot.

7.

Install piston seal(s) and piston(s) in caliper.

8.

Install caliper boot and set ring in caliper.

9.

Install collar and dust boots in caliper.

10.

Check that boots are firmly seated in caliper grooves.

11.

Install bushing into boots.

12.

Check that boots are firmly secured to each bushing groove.
