1. CHECK TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER
a. Disconnect the 114 transponder key amplifier connector, and check the continuity of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
b. Reconnect the I14 transponder key amplifier connector, and check the voltage each terminal of the connector.
Standard:
If the result is not as specified, the transponder key amplifier may be defective.
c. Using an oscilloscope, inspect.
NOTE: The waveform provided on this text does not include noise and chattering.
HINT: If the result is not as specified, the transponder key amplifier may malfunction.
d. Set the oscilloscope at 5 V/DIV and 10 ms/DIV, and insert the key in the ignition key cylinder. Check the waveform 1 between the terminal
114-4 and 114-7 of the transponder key amplifier.
