Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV) for EGR: Description and Operation
EGR Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV)
The EGR VSV that provides vacuum control to the EGR vacuum modulator, (and ultimately to the EGR valve), is activated by the ECU. The ECU
serves as a ground circuit for the EGR VSV when the coolant temperature reaches a certain level and the engine is operating. The EGR VSV inputs the
ECU through terminal EGR.
