Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Description and Operation

Variable Induction (T-VIS) Vacuum Switching Valve

Each runner in the intake manifold is divided into two parts.  An intake air control valve is installed in one passage in each cylinder runner. These air
control valves are controlled by a vacuum switching valve (VSV), which is controlled by the ECU. This system provides better low-speed engine
performance as well as improved fuel economy. The VSV inputs the ECU through terminal T-VIS.
