Headlight & Dimmer Switch

1.

Disable airbag system, refer to 

Technician Safety Information.

On models equipped with airbag, pull wheel pad out from steering wheel and disconnect airbag connector. When removing wheel pad, take
care not to pull airbag wire harness. When storing wheel pad, keep upper surface of the pad facing upward. Never disassemble wheel
pad.

3.

Remove steering wheel, then upper and lower steering column covers.

4.

Disconnect combination switch connector, then using a small screwdriver, disengage headlight and dimmer switch wiring from combination switch
connector. 

Note position of wires.

5.

On models with cruise control, removal of slip ring may be necessary. Remove screws, headlight and dimmer switch, then ball and spring
assembly,

Install headlight and dimmer switch onto combination switch.

7.

Insert spring into headlight and dimmer lever, than install lever and screw onto combination switch.

8.

Position ball on the spring, 

Fig. 3, and place headlight and dimmer switch lever into HI position. Install screws and clamp, Fig. 3.
