Connect a suitable ammeter and battery to fan motor connector, Fig. 2. Ensure motor rotates smoothly and current is 3.2-4.4 amps on models with
manual transaxle or 5.8-7.4 amps on models with automatic transaxle. On 1988 Celica models equipped with All Wheel Drive, ensure motor
rotates smoothly and current reading obtained is 8.8-10.8 amps.
