Before installing the new balance links, ensure that the new bushings are installed as shown in Figure 4.

Install the balance links using the procedure outlined in the Toyota Service Manual.
7.
Install the new top cover (if applicable) using the procedure outlined in the Toyota Service Manual.
8.
Inspect the top stack down stop. This procedure requires two people.
a.
Lower the convertible top.
NOTE:
The front rail and center rail stops must be in contact (Figure 5). If they do not contact, that may indicate that there is an obstruction, the down stop is
adjusted too high, and/or there are damaged components. Correct the problem before proceeding.
