a. Remove the cotter pin and remove the nut, Using the 09610 - 20012 Special Service Tool (SST), disconnect the tie rod end from the steering

knuckle.

Installation Hint: torque to: 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).

6. Remove the oxygen sensor.
7. Remove the front exhaust pipe after doing the following.

a. Remove the two bolts.
b. Remove the two nuts and gasket.
c. Remove the two bolts, nuts and gasket.

8. Disconnect the intermediate NO. 2 shaft by doing the following.

a. Loosen bolt A and remove bolt B.
b. Place matchmarks on the intermediate NO. 2 shaft and control valve shaft.

9. Disconnect the pressure feed tube.

a. Remove the two tube clamp bracket set bolts.
b. Remove the three tube clamp brackets and grommets from the tube.

c. Using the 09631 - 22020 SST, disconnect the tube.  

10. Disconnect the tube clamp bracket after first removing the two bolts.
