6. Using the 09922-10010 SST,remove the rack guide spring cap lock nut.
NOTE: Use the 09922 - 10010 SST in the direction shown in the illustration.
7. Using a (24 mm) hexagon wrench, remove the rack guide spring cap.
8. Remove the rack guide spring, and the rack guide seat from the rack guide.
9. Using the 09922-10010 SST, remove the rack housing cap lock nut.
NOTE: Use the 09922 - 10010 SST in the direction shown in the illustration.
10. Using a (24 mm) hexagon wrench, remove the cap.
11. Remove the bearing from the rack housing.
12. Remove the dust cover.
13. Remove the control valve housing with the control valve assembly by doing the following.
a. Place matchmarks on the valve housing and rack housing.
b. Remove the two bolts.
c. Remove the O-ring from the rack housing.
14. Remove the control valve assembly and do the following.
a. To prevent oil seal lip damage, wind vinyl tape on the serrated part of the valve shaft.
