Air Door Actuator / Motor: Testing and Inspection
Air Outlet Servomotor

1. REMOVE THESE PARTS:

a. No.1 instrument lower finish panel
b. Finish panel
c. No.2 heater to register duct

2. REMOVE AIR OUTLET SERVOMOTOR

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws and the servomotor.

3. INSPECT AIR OUTLET SERVOMOTOR

Inspect servomotor operation
1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 6.
2. Connect the negative (-) lead from the battery to each terminal and check that the arm rotates to each position, as shown in the chart.

If operation is not as specified, replace the servomotor.

4. INSTALL AIR OUTLET SERVOMOTOR

a. Install the servomotor and 2 screws.
b. Connect the connector.

5. INSTALL THESE PARTS:

a. No.2 heater to register duct
b. Finish panel
c. No.1 instrument lower finish panel
