Setting SST from the upper right makes the removal easier.

To remove SST from the adjusting shim, it is advisable to push down the rocker arm.

d. Turn the crankshaft so that the related rocker arm, where the valve clearance is adjusted, is fully pushed down.

NOTICE:

Take care of the rotation direction to prevent the cam shaft lobe from interfering with the SST shaft.

^

Do not rotate the crankshaft excessively.

e. After loosening the 2 set screws of SST, remove SST it self.

16. INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
17. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)

18. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
19. INSTALL GENERATOR BRACKET NO.1
20. INSTALL AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY
21. INSTALL SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 inch lbs.)

22. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION BAR ASSEMBLY TOWER
23. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
24. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKAGE
25. INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO.2

Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 inch lbs.)
