Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item. Evacuate air from refrigeration system. Charge system with refrigerant and
inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
Specified amount: 650 ± 50 g (22.93 ± 1.76 oz.)
2. REMOVE RECEIVER
3. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE
Remove the bolt and disconnect the hose.
Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item. Lubricate a new O-ring with compressor oil and install the hose.
4. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. 2 Upper radiator supports
b. No. 6 relay block set bolts
5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
6. DISCONNECT THESE PARTS FROM RADIATOR:
a. Upper radiator hose
b. Engine coolant reservoir hose
7. REMOVE CONDENSER
a. Lift up the radiator and push it toward engine.
b. Remove the 2 condenser set bolts.
