Throttle Body: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
2. DISCONNECT ACCELERATOR CABLE
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE AND CAP
(a) Disconnect the IAT sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the air hose from air cleaner cap.
(c) Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp bolt.
(d) Disconnect the 2 air cleaner cap clips.
(e) Disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle body and remove the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose.
4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY
(a) Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the IAC valve connector.
(c) Disconnect the MAP sensor connector.
(d) Disconnect the PCV hose from throttle body.
(e) Disconnect the 2 water bypass hoses.
