8. INSTALL INBOARD JOINT BOOT CLAMPS AND OUTBOARD JOINT SMALL BOOT CLAMP

a. Place new clamps to the proper positions.
b. Using pliers, pinch the claw A and B to compress the clamp and engage the claw C and C'.

9. ASSEMBLE OUTBOARD JOINT LARGE BOOT CLAMP

a. Secure the clamp onto the boot.
b. Place SST onto the clamp.

SST 09521-24010

c. Tighten the SST so that the clamp is pinched.

NOTICE:  Do not overtighten the SST.

d. Using SST, adjust the clearance of the clamp.

Clearance: 1.9 mm (0.075 inch) or less 

10. RH drive shaft: ASSEMBLE DAMPER CLAMP 

a. Make sure that the damper is on the shaft groove.

b. Set the distance, as described.

Distance: 431.3 ± 3.0 mm (16.980 ± 0.118 inch) 

c. Secure the clamp onto the boot.

d. Place SST onto the clamp.

e. Tighten the SST so that the clamp is pinched.
