Fuel Injector Resistor: Testing and Inspection
1.
Disconnect electrical connectors to solenoid resistor.
2.
On models equipped with two connectors, check resistance between terminal in single terminal (B+) connector and both terminals in 2 terminal
connector of resistor.
3.
On models equipped with single connector, measure resistance between center terminal (B+) and other two terminals.
4.
If meter does not read 2 ohms on 5M-GE engines, 3 ohms on 4A-GE, 4A-GEC, 4A-GEL, 4A-GELC, 7M-GE and 7M-GTE in both positions, or
between 2---3 ohms on 2S-E, 3S-FE, 3S-GE, 4Y-EC, 22R-E and 22R-TE, solenoid resistor is defective.
