Wiper Switch: Service and Repair
Combination Switch

Removal/Installation

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove horn pad and disconnect horn terminal.

3.

Remove steering wheel center pad set plate.

4.

Remove steering wheel nut.

5.

Using a steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel.

6.

Remove steering column upper and lower covers.

7.

Remove combination switch Fig 3.

8.

Reverse procedure to install.

Service

HEADLIGHT, DIMMER & TURN SIGNAL SWITCH

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove steering wheel, upper and lower steering column covers and combination switch assembly, refer to REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. 

3.

Pry loose three locking lugs and remove combination switch harness spool cover.

4.

Remove separator from spool body, then open terminal cover.

5.

Using a small screwdriver at open end of cover, pry down locking lug and pull out terminal from rear.

6.

Remove corrugated tube from wiring harness.

7.

Remove screws and ball set plate from headlamp switch body.

8.

Remove ball and slide out headlamp switch with spring from switch body.

9.

Remove four screws, dimmer and turn signal switch from switch body.

10.

Reverse procedure to install.

WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER SWITCH

1.

Remove headlamp, dimmer and turn signal switch as described previously.

2.

Remove two screws, then wiper and washer switch from switch body.

3.

Reverse procedure to install.
