Install drain plug and torque to 15 ft. lbs.

8.

Refill transmission to specified level and check transmission operation.

Removal

1.

Fabricate a plate from aluminum or plastic to retain accumulator pistons as shown in Fig. 3.

2.

Raise and support vehicle, clean exterior of transmission and drain fluid.

3.

Remove bolt from oil filler tube support.

4.

Remove oil pan retaining bolts, oil pan and gasket, and filler tube. Use care when removing filler tube, so as not to distort tube or damage
seal.

Remove oil feed tubes in sequence shown in Fig. 9, using suitable levers to pry both ends of each tube.

6.

Disconnect electrical connectors from solenoids, then remove oil strainer and gasket.
