Variable Valve Timing Actuator: Service and Repair
Installation

1GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 2 camshaft timing oil control valves with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

2. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 2 SURGE TANK STAY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation

5. INSTALL OIL BAFFLE PLATE See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation

6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Installation

8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)

9. ADD ENGINE COOLANT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

10. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

11. INSTALL V-BANK COVER See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Installation
