Seat Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing See: Service Precautions.
2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR
(a) Check that the ignition switch is turned to OFF.
(b) Check that the negative (-) battery terminal is disconnected.
CAUTION: After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.
(c) Install the seat position sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
(d) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position sensor.
(e) Connect the connector to the seat position sensor.
3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly/Installation
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.
HINT: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Inspect the SRS warning light See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Diagnosis System.
