Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION: Read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing  See: Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly/Removal

4. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the occupant classification ECU.

(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the occupant classification ECU.
