Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear Speed Sensor
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
3. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR
a. Disconnect the skid control sensor wire.
b. Remove the nut and rear speed sensor.
NOTE:
-
Do not attach any foreign matter to the sensor tip.

Ensure that no foreign matter enters the sensor installation part.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR
a. Install the rear speed sensor with the nut.
Torque: 8.3 N.m (85 kgf.cm, 73 in.lbf)
NOTE: Make sure that the sensor tip is clean.
b. Connect the skid control sensor wire.
2. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 112 N.m (1,137 kgf.cm, 82 ft.lbf)
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf)
4. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
