Keyless Entry Transmitter Battery: Service and Repair

TRANSMITTER BATTERY

REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY

NOTE:  Special caution should be taken when handling each of these precise electronic components.

a. Using a coins, or other flat object, open the transmitter case.

NOTE:  Do not forcibly open the cover.

b. Remove the discharged transmitter battery using a ballpoint pen. Insert the tip of the ballpoint pen in the guide groove and lift out the battery

as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:
-

Do not push the terminals with your finger.

Do not forcibly pry up the battery (lithium battery).
The terminals may be damaged.

Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may cause rust.

Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter because handling the components may interfere with proper operation of the
transmitter.

2. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY

a. Place a new transmitter battery in the transmitter with the positive (+) side up. Close the transmitter case securely.
